Office 2000 (Win2K/Word/Excel/internet/Outlook/PowerPoint)

Overview

After completing the Microsoft Office 2000 Course (“Level 1”), students will be able to use word processing to database management to Internet (“Email”). The Microsoft Office 2000 Suites and programs help you become more productive and make your work stand out. Office 2000 helps you develop your ideas and share knowledge in powerful new ways. The Basic programs Course consist of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook. Students who graduate from this course will most likely advance to Microsoft Office Level 2.

Prerequisites

Must be able to Read/Write English, no prior computer knowledge is necessary

  Introduction to basic computer

 Getting started introduces users to the Microsoft Office 2000 environment and how to open and close applications and files.

  • Introduction to basic Computer, Keyboard and Mouse features
  • Windows Operating Systems/Windows ME and Windows 2000
  • Creating Screen Savers for Desktop
  • Creating Background pictures for Desktop
  • Using Print Properties
  • Making shortcuts and changing target properties

 

Office : MS Word  

  • Creating a new document and creating letters using Office Assistance
  • Getting around in Word and Editing Page
  • Formatting Lines
  • Formatting Text, Lines and Characters
  • Using MS Word Tools, Using help, close and Exit
  • Creating Headers and Footers, Using View tools
  • Terminology, Title Bar, Menu Bar and Scroll Bar

 

Office : Excel             
  • Introduction to excel environment.
  • Getting around in Excel and Creating basic worksheet, Entering Data
  • Formatting a worksheet, Replacing Data and Filling Data
  • Formatting Data and Merging Data in Excel.
  • Understanding Charts and Graphs in Excel
  • Understanding and Using Formulas in Excel.
